The 1989 Embassy World Snooker Championship was a professional ranking snooker tournament that took place between 15 April–1 May 1989 at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, England.

Steve Davis won in the final 18–3 against John Parrott. This was Davis's sixth and last world title.
