Foxstar Productions was a television production company subsidiary of News Corporation. It was created in 1994 as a TV movie and mini-series unit under former 20th Century Fox Television network production president Steve Bell. In 1994, the company produced the first in a series of Alien Nation movies for the Fox Network. That same year, the company also began producing numerous television documentaries through its production subsidiary, Van Ness Films. In 2000, Foxstar became part of Fox Television Studios and continued producing documentary and non-fiction programming and specials until 2005.
