Not to be confused with nitrazepam.
Nitrazolam is a benzodiazepine[1] that has been sold online as a designer drug.[2]
It is closely related to clonazolam, only differing by the removal of a chlorine group at the benzene ring.
Animal studies indicate that nitrazolam can be several times more potent than diazepam as an antagonist of electroshock-induced tonic-extensor convulsions.[3]
